Culture made wearable.
When Likreat began, we looked first to the cultural traditions of the East. Drawing from Buddhist and Daoist art, we created spiritual jewelry with a sense of atmosphere, material presence, and symbolic depth, bringing enduring Eastern visual languages into contemporary wearable art.
As Likreat has grown beyond its origins, our conversation has expanded across cultures. Our work now draws from Christian sacred iconography, Hindu traditions, and the mythological worlds of ancient Greece, alongside the spiritual traditions of East Asia. Rather than treating heritage as decoration, we create Spiritual Art Jewelry: contemporary objects shaped by symbolism, craftsmanship, and cultural memory.
Creating through culture
Our practice is guided by two principles: create through culture, and carry aspirations through objects. To create through culture is to begin with meaning. Every piece is rooted in the spiritual traditions, human stories, and symbolic aesthetics of a particular civilization. From the contemplative spirit of Buddhist and Daoist art to the sacred drama of Western mythology, we transform cultural memory into finely sculpted works of wearable gold and silver.
Carrying aspirations through objects
To carry aspirations through objects is to encourage cultural exchange through jewelry. We share the visual language of Chinese spiritual traditions with audiences around the world, while inviting Chinese audiences to encounter the symbolic beauty of other civilizations. We do not promote religious doctrine. We document and interpret cultural aesthetics so that different traditions may be seen, understood, and approached with respect.
Every Likreat piece is made in our own fine-carving workshop by experienced artisans. We reject mass production in favor of patient handwork, precise sculptural detail, and materials intended to endure. Our collections explore two central languages: Eastern sacred sculptural forms and Western sacred reliefs.
Within a small object, centuries of cultural memory can be held. Likreat brings artisans together to create works made to be worn with intention and passed down through generations.
