Inspired by the stupa, this pendant carries a carved Buddha on one face — a faceted gemstone figure seated in meditation, suspended within a gold-tone shrine frame traced with pavé-set stones. The openwork structure allows light to pass through to the figure within.The reverse offers a different meditation: gold-tone flame openwork above, antique silver-tone relief below. The two-tone contrast gives the piece a duality — the warmth of devotion, the stillness of stone.In Buddhist tradition, the stupa is a sacred form that houses what is precious.
